Educational Philosophy:
“Education is the key to a successful life. But, it takes encouragement from all parties involved to enhance a student's desire to learn."

Background:
Born in Albany,Georgia. Raised in Fort Worth. Traveled extensively due to family involvement in the military. Attended private elementary and high school. Participated in speech and theatre events while in high school. Member of the National Forensic League. Worked with the Professional Actors Studio for several years. Landed minor roles in films and commercials.

Education:
Graduated from Nolan High School in Fort Worth, Texas. Attended Austin College in Sherman, Texas and graduated with a Bachelors of Arts Degree in Speech and English. One year later,
graduated with a Masters in Secondary Education, Speech Communication and English.

Work History:
Taught 6th, 7th and 8th grade Language Arts and coached Speech and Debate events at East Chamber Consolidated School in Winnie, Texas. One year later, designed and taught a modular program for migrant students in Cotulla, Texas. After two years, left Cotulla and took a Speech and English position at Nimitz. 28 years later still teaching and loving every moment of it.

Hobbies:
Reading, writing, dancing, listening to music, cooking and various crafts.
